I’m seeing a lot of people who feel upset and betrayed about this. I’d like to give some perspective on this as a software engineer to help other game devs understand it better. Specifically, I want to answer what is he saying, what does it mean, and what does it mean for you specifically.
I love all of my oomfs who reactionary post even if they keep or change their opinions. I respect you. I have no mercy for public figures. Ask an expert. Ask someone who has thought about topic de jour for over 1 hour. Hopefully multiple people with different opinions #getgood

I use language models to develop Ren'Py, and have since Github copilot came out in beta in 2021. Before that I've used other tools (code completion, etc.)
I don't vibe code Ren'Py, though - that's not something you do if you want a project you can maintain.
