Lydd on Sea VC15, a further mild night by the sea, though a drop in numbers to 193 of 55.
Stand out moth was this Striped Hawkmoth, in one of the Actinic traps.
Also my 4th Eastern Bordered Straw in 3 Days.

Lydd on Sea VC15, a drop in temperature and breezy night led to only 77 of 29.
The highlight, lurking at the bottom of one of the Actinics, was this Iron Prominent, which is usually a once a year moth in my traps.

Lydd on Sea VC15, a definite increase in numbers thanks to a calmer night by the sea, resulted in 169 of 61, rather yesterday’s awful 11 moths!!
A haul of NFY’s, including White Satin Moth, Light Arches, L-Album Wainscot & what I’m sure is Hemp-Agrimony Plume.

There have been large numbers of Painted Lady butterflies across the peninsula at Dungeness the last week or so, after trying and taking many photos, I think I finally got a shot of one that I liked.

Undoubtedly the moth of the year so far and a garden first, was a stunning Purple Marbled, and another Eastern Bordered Straw (3rd in 2 days!).
