My spare GPU (an old 5700XT I got with my first paycheck ever in 2019) is finally showing early signs of death, of course I only need her for a few more days until my new GPU arrives maybe I can repair it in the future, but honestly she's earned her retirement if it comes to it hahah

Linux is funny in that with stuff like CachyOS and advances in Proton it's objectively just as plug and play as Windows is but if you need to replace a professional workflow with Linux alternatives you are at the mercy of people who seem to design UIs specifically to enrage people.

drivers had been the source of all my woes ever with this machine, soon as I pulled it out and changed it even for that 5700XT that's at the edge of its life I'm having WAY less issues and crashes that make zero sense xD I'll take slightly less performance if it means a giant fuck you to nvidia

I love how I get playfully poked about the fact that I, seemingly impulsively, decided to change from my 4070 to a 9060XT because FH6 wasn't launching x3, it's half true but in reality I was already thinking about changing the GPU to AMD since I plonked cachyOS in my machine and the shitvidia-
