I've cataloged the shots in VFR1 through VFR3 and they mostly follow the described structure, minus a few deviations.
Interestingly, the shot lengths in VFR3 seem to form a palindrome centered around the 6th sequence of vertical features, with the types of features interleaved uniformly throughout
