For three decades, Vida has supported women who have experienced domestic and sexual abuse, including coercive control, sexual violence and other traumatic experiences. Together, we have witnessed extraordinary courage, resilience, recovery, and growth.
Most of all, we want to thank the women who trusted us with their stories and allowed us to walk alongside them on their recovery journeys. It has been a privilege.
As we begin this final chapter, we will continue supporting our existing clients and ensuring a safe & compassionate closure process.
We are incredibly proud of what has been achieved over the years and deeply grateful to everyone who has been part of the Vida community – our clients, staff, associate therapists, volunteers, trustees, funders, partners and supporters.
Over the coming weeks, we will also be sharing memories, reflections and celebrating the impact Vida has had over the past 30 years.
Thank you, Sheffield, for your support, belief and commitment to women’s recovery and wellbeing.
✨ Thank You for Being Part of Our Story ✨
💜 A Message from Vida Sheffield 💜
After 30 years of supporting women across Sheffield, VIDA Sheffield will be closing it’s doors at the end of August 2026.
This is not the outcome we hoped for, and it is with great sadness that we share this news.
We value them and the incredible contributions they make everyday to our service, ensuring women & girls can access our life-changing specialist therapy services and recover from abuse 💜
It’s #VolunteersWeek and we would like to pay tribute to all our hardworking volunteers, volunteer therapists and trustees who give up their time and expertise for @vida-sheffield.bsky.social
