It's true that all AGs have been viewed as biased, because they are appointed by the POTUS, but that's precisely why they're expected to operate independently from the WH, and the WH doesn't get to direct them to do shit.

I'm not a lawyer, but I thought that you don't need to prove impropriety, the APPEARANCE of impropriety is enough.
Confirming his PERSONAL ATTORNEY (who STILL seeks to defend his client) to AG is basically an ENDORSEMENT of impropriety. It undermines the credibility of everything the DOJ does.
