If this time travel experiment works, I should be able to go from here and now and reappea—
I've just pushed a new article live to my site on a lovely game and technical feat called EXILE.
Slip into your space-boots and strap on your jetpack as we explore the depths of an alien world modelled with realistic physics, mass, gravity, and momentum. All squeezed into just 32 KB.
Birds of prey are the best birds. They're beautiful, intelligent and always look so very angry!
Pyjamarama for Acorn Electron (WIP). Now demonstrating the title screen on the machine itself. Alternating between the default 4 colour palette and the 8 colour palette voodoo. This works on Electroniq and a real Electron (of course!) but not flawlessly on every Acorn Electron emulator out there
We're doing amazing and just shipped a bunch of hits? Layoffs.
We're doing badly and we need change? Also layoffs.
Our new CEO is putting us on track and we're gonna do great? Believe it or not, also layoffs.
Two-player #BBCMicro Elite now has a two-player dashboard
Each player has their own set of indicators: speed, attitude control, fore and aft shields, laser temperature, energy, missiles and compass
They share the scanner, which works well
It’s starting to feel like a proper game!

WIth Doctor Who heading into the Wilderness Years, it would be fun to see a revival of the Virgin New Adventures series. Except instead of trying to be edgy and outré, they go full circle and pull the stories back to old school fun-in-space capers 😄
Today I learn Virgin Atlantic has a cabin class called "Economy Delight", which I can't help feeling is a contradiction in terms...
You do have to wonder at what point any of these companies (or their greedy shareholders) will realise the one layoff they actually *need* is right at the top.

Realistic physics engines and a planetary ecosystem could be found in an 8-bit computer game set in SPACE!
