Clearly none of the design improvements that @mta.info used for the R211 subway cars has trickled down to @mtalirr.bsky.social. An utter lack of any imagination.

We're getting new trains!
The MTA has approved the purchase of new M-9A rail cars, which will feature glass windows, USB ports, and enhanced accessibility — including automatic bathroom doors.
The first set is expected to enter service in 2030.
