Computational biologist @DKFZ. Likes data, machine learning, single-cells and kittens.

Also, most oocyte aging studies use superovulated cells. Here we show that aging and superovulation lead to qualitatively similar transcriptomic changes, but that superovulation response is milder in old age. This highlights the necessity of including nat. ovulated cells in oocyte aging studies.
Thank you to Klaudija Daugelaite, Ivana Winkler, the Odom and Rehnitz labs (at DKFZ and UKHD), it has been a pleasure working with you. Thank you to the DFG and ERC for funding.
We’re hiring! #Postdoc Researcher in #ComputationalBiology / Spatial Multi-Omics at #DKFZ Heidelberg. Join us to work on early lung cancer detection and the biological characterization of pulmonary nodules. Apply / share: jobs.dkfz.de/en/jobs/1685... #SpatialTranscriptomics #CancerResearch
Using a mouse model, we characterize the transcriptional maturity of superovulated oocytes and granulosa cells after hormonal stimulation and identify markers in granulosa cells that are predictive of the oocyte early developmental potential.
Increased reproductive age and the development of assisted reproductive technologies (ART) are shaping modern human reproduction. Understanding how these new conditions impact oocyte quality is crucial to improve the efficiency of fertility treatments.
Sworn in as Professor of @uniheidelberg.bsky.social on leave @dkfz.bsky.social, thank you to everyone who supported me!
