For 2 weeks the newspapers have been full of letters to the editor praising the Toronto cops for beating up on scofflaw cyclists for “blowing through stop signs.” Here’s why they are wrong; this is not a legal problem, it is a design problem. open.substack.com/pub/lloydalt...
Stop signs in Toronto were designed to control cars, and don't work for bikes. Cities with balanced transportation systems don't have them.
