I am a Nuggets fan, but I don’t hate anyone on the Spurs or Knicks, and in fact am fond of many of them. Maybe this is the closest I will ever get to polyamory.
For America's 250th, Publisher's Weekly surveyed 151 book critics about the most essential books. We each nominated 3 titles. The 4 most mentioned were "Moby Dick," "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn," "Beloved" and "The Great Gatsby." I was delighted they chose my words for Huck Finn.
"Twain’s novel grapples with several of America’s foundational problems—slavery, racism, and classism—and does so in a way that is so funny, full of adventure, and replete with memorable characters that it doesn’t feel bleak or as though it’s delivering a pat lecture (ahem, Uncle Tom’s Cabin)."

I predict the fit, altitude-trained Colorado people who say "I don't use elevators, I take the stairs" will now say at DIA, "I don't take the train, I sprint through the tunnel." A race company might establish a 5k through the walkway. www.denverpost.com/2026/05/26/d...
Lighthouse Writers Workshop's Lit Fest kicks off in Denver Friday w/ fabulous guest writers including @rebeccamakkai.bsky.social, @meghamaj.bsky.social (whose class on plot I'm taking!) & @matjohnson.bsky.social. I'm also teaching 5 classes & have spots in most! bit.ly/4ut0XCh
