Fashion designer Ossie Clark was born #OnThisDay in 1942. With his then wife Celia Birtwell, he designed this printed muslin dress with a triangular opening to the bodice and sprigs of red posies. Birtwell wore it in a 1972 David Hockney sketch. Sold by Kerry Taylor Auctions. #fashionhistory
