The third MEB conference will be held 1-5 June 2026 in Montpellier, France! https://meb-network.com/meb-2026/
This international event brings together a wide range of experts on microclimate and its applications in ecology and biogeography! #MEB2026
The conference dinner happened at Halles du Verger, and included great local food + a post-it game where you have to guess what you are π¦ππͺ±ποΈπ¦ππ³ππππ¦π¦π
Sometimes the conference networking extends into the evening.. Here at Place Candolle, Montpellier
Or at Rosemarie!
... And beautiful microclimate posters as well, out in the sun & shade!
Looking back at our icebreaker event on the first evening of the week, at Montpellier city hall! π We had a discourse from the vice-president of the Montpellier metropole, translated live by Nolwenn Le Guyader ππ» Scientists are not welcome in Montpellier... They are already home!
Amazing microclimate talks this week at the MEB conference in Montpellier University!! @umontpellier.bsky.social
Thank you so much to @mebconf.bsky.social for another fantastic #microclimate #conference week, this time in beautiful Montpellier! Such good views, talks, food, and just the amazing @mebnetwork.bsky.social community in general. So grateful for working with such great colleagues!
My colleagues Dr Richard Streeter and Yajie Zhu (both from @uniofstandrews.bsky.social) present our work on tundra vegetation and microclimate at the @mebconf.bsky.social conference in Montpellier. My first outdoor poster session! Many thanks to POLARIN for supporting our work.
At @mebconf.bsky.social I presented my current work on modelling of #snow βοΈ & #microclimate π‘οΈ in the European #Alps. Thanks to all participants for the conversations, and for awarding me one of three Cool Poster Design awards! π
Thanks #TOMST for sponsoring, more urban microclimate data coming up :)
After a fantastic conference in Montpellier with @mebconf.bsky.social, where we shared #MIRECLIM results, weβre back in the field on our peatlands. Blooming cottongrass, cranberries, and stunning peatland views remind us why we love this work. And pesticide-free cereal field, simply beautiful!
