Legit the NZ press gallery constantly whining about this last election gave cover to this government to very likely disenfranchise tens of thousands of voters (via making it harder to register late).
But I'm sure being able to make a call on the night (you still won't be able to) is more important.

Hadn't really actively processed until now that unlike your fingers - where you use the tips - it's basically the outside edge of your thumbnail you type with (or at least I do).
Why did I process this now? Hangnail means it's bloody painful to type!
I'll just add, knowing Vernon a little, that he's both a thoroughly decent human being & one of the most thoughtful people on this area of law in the whole country.
Ministers are free to disregard advice, that's part of a democracy. But when they got advice like this we're entitled to ask why.
