just because you and your pals make art for the prestige and recognition and praise doesn't mean everyone does tbh.
honestly this is a pretty bleak way to frame engagement with art. as though being recognized as talented is the point.

The are no barriers to entry into the arts. Cavemen made art. Toddlers make art. What's being argued for is a basic human entitlement to being respected as someone who can make art that is pretty or meaningful and good, which AI might fulfill. This entitlement does not exist.
Actively annoyed by seeing some AI people smugly agree with each other that the reason we hate their shitty technology is that we resent it "lowering the barriers to entry" for the arts, which apparently the world of software development has always done.
