A sentient swamp is here to chill you out with original nature videos, field recordings, and photography. There might also be some absurdist dark humor thrown in, as one should expect from a swamp. linktr.ee/SwampVids

Went to look for some nice animals mounting each other to film to go entertain the youtube crowd who apparently have high demands and want to see some action. Didn’t take long to find a whole stack of milkweed beetles clearly in love! Precious!!! 🖤 #beetlepride #nature youtu.be/N5o_5jbjk8g?...

Hormaphis hamamelidis, a gall aphid that hosts on common witch-hazel and is now sold in grocery stores as a corn snack. Most people just use them to put on their fingers so they can feel like a witch though. #insects #galls

I hear the Wood Thrush’s haunting song often but they’re hard to spot. Occasionally one will come down and I get very excited #birds 🌿
The native RI mountain laurel, kalmia latifolia, is exceptional this year, #CorgiCrew. These are growing next to our driveway.

I have seen many people lamenting the rise of AI animal videos lately. So I thought I’d make you a list of photographers who post wildlife videos (in addition to photos.) You can trust these accounts, they’re all people I’ve followed for years. Please enjoy!
Look at this amazing #insect! I believe it's a Black Giant Icneumanoid Wasp, Megarhyssa atrata. This is a female, and that long "tail" is her ovipositor. She can drill into wood with it! #invertebrate
