One gentleman had reported a lost black & white cat, but he came and saw her and said it wasn’t his cat. Then she escaped back outside 😩 he brought me some cat food from his home so I could leave out bowls of food & water in a few places nearby since we lost sight of her (2/4)
I fear the cat distribution system choose me today and I fumbled 😭 this sweet pea approached me (& my dog!) outside of our bldg. I led her into our bldg laundry room since she couldn’t hang with my dog in my apt. Tried FB, SPCA, PD, vet, property management, etc. for reports of lost pets (1/4)
Almost every bldg in the area is completely vacant right now & being turned over before the new academic year when new folks move in. I worry someone moved out & abandoned her ☹️ (3/4)
8 hours of pelagic birding in the offshore waters of New Hampshire/Maine/Massachusetts today! 43 bird species, including 3 lifers 🥧🪶 the highlight was a thick-billed murre (pictured), only the 3rd June record for NH! Other pictured: northern fulmar, great shearwater, and red-necked phalarope 🦑🌿
Pre-pelagic trip harbor welcome party: barn swallows galore and a bald eagle 🌿🪶
Also, of course, humpback action! 🦑🌿
Finally getting around to sharing more warblers from my warbler-extravaganza at Chicago’s Montrose Point! Pictured: black-throated blue, magnolia, blackburnian, and Tennessee 🌿🪶
