My grandfather used to paint inspired by Rothko, trying to capture emotions and momentum with just pure colour.
I absolutely love his work and hearing him talk about it was wonderful; "There's no canvas big enough to capture joy, but maybe I can find a colour bright enough."
Apparently I've been suspended, though I've received no emails as to why, so if this post goes through that's an interesting thing to see.
I have no interest in continuing to engage with a platform with such blatantly transphobic moderation policies as bluesky has demonstrated in recent months.
I am on the waiting list for Northsky. I may return when that migration has occurred. Or maybe I will just stop posting entirely.
