A good day in the studio working on my latest icon for the next exhibition. Two more days should be enough to complete it fingers crossed
Down on the farm, don’t know why I’m feeling blue, so it’s time for a sing a long with Bryn the Welsh terrier to lift the mood
It’s so good to be back in the studio this morning painting a goldfinch and roses. Caught in a moment for ever.
The first two jars of wild strawberry and rose petal jam have been made and the house smells delicious

Good morning from a sunny west Wales & the sage patch in the veg garden where a busy Hummingbird Hawk moth had its lunch yesterday. Moths matter & providing them with the right habitat & plants to forage on is a pleasure, especially when these fellows grace one with a visit. Blink and you’ll miss it
The last few days have been spent coppicing willow and hazel to weave a raised edge to a vegetable bed. Learning as we go I think not a bad effort for a first attempt.

My father died when he was only 65, 30 years on I still miss him. He would have loved this place. It’s woods and field; it’s hidden places. I turned my back on the city after he died. Moving to a simpler life in the country had its ups and downs but it gave me more time to do things I love, and
