Yep, there’s a strain of Remain thought that has never got past the self-pitying idea that we somehow deserved to have Leave happen to us.

Look if you’re British&don’t want your country to further align with the EU, let alone rejoin, fine, that’s your view.
But I‘m really having difficulty with the self-loathing “we don’t deserve to improve our situation with the EU as we are a terrible country“-argument.
Maybe it only exists online?
