This isn't a new observation by any means. People have expressed this many times before. Even more specifically if you're queer, or Black, or an immigrant. We're not allowed to be human because it breaks the illusion that we're players on a stage for the people who actually matter.
Sometimes I wish I could just be the old man on the mountain. Not the one you go to for the future, or the meaning of life, or the absolute truth. I am merely an expert in loving everyone. I can tell you why you're beautiful and why you're loved. It's my one transcendental skill.
