it pisses me off that a very real issue, which i see play out in this space weirdly often, has been delegitimized by a fraud who hates women. i'm already seeing homophobia being handwaved because of him being the loudest voice in those discussions. the damage he's done is immeasurable
i think that humankind has not yet achieved a full revolutionary political consciousness at all until it is able to begin politicizing the process of sexing the body itself & the lack of or resistance to this is part of why misogyny has been the end or limit to every revolutionary movement
"you should have known" helps no one in matters of abuse and i am tired of seeing it thrown around in regards to ren. and it's frankly incredibly triggering to see it being used at all in the context of abuse

part of what has me feeling really fucked up is that ren took advantage of an issue i care greatly about, which is intercommunity homophobia and the distrust of gay men, and used it as a shield for his violent misogyny. now that issue can't be talked about without being stained by him.
