if I seem militant about AI it's because a lot of my friends are writers, concept artists, QA people, etc, and they are the ones who are currently having their careers obliterated by that shit.

My style circa the end of college involved inking a piece on bristol, lightboxing it to paint some rough watercolours on the back, then scanning and combining/editing in Photoshop. Honestly it was increasingly lazy, which kinda shows how my heart wasn't in that vs my 50 hour digital paintings lmao

also a cover job for an indie author I did a few months ago was replaced in the final release by AI but that has nothing to do with it, it didn't make me feel terrible at all hahaaaaa ha
Just updated my Reedsy profile to respectfully ask not to be involved with briefs including AI generated reference. I know people often mean well and think it's helping, but my mental health can no longer handle the feeling that I'm competing head to head slop.
