There’s a curious reluctance I feel to using the word Evil.
But Elon Musk seems evil.
In his first interview since being kicked out of the US, FIFA referee Omar Artan tells’s the NYT’s Matt Bigg that the biggest dream of his professional life has been shattered. The World Cup ref was questioned for 11 hours, held in a cell and then dumped on a plane.

I usually do NYT Bee, Connections, and Wordle over 1st coffee (sometimes takes me into 2nd). When I *power* through all three at speed, I assume my workday will unfold with fluidity and vigour.
I have not tracked this properly yet so have no data. But I like the thought.

X owner Elon Musk has reposted his Sept 2025 call that pre-emptive inter-ethnic violence (civil war) is necessary for 'self-defence
"Elon Musk was always right
"You either fight back, or you die."

UPDATE: The journalist explained and apologized, and I’m genuinely impressed. Here are his three Threads posts and my reply to them.

And, worse, #Fifa seem to have juat shrugged their shoulders and said "Yeah, go on, then. You can choose who gets to referee our tournament. It's none of our business, really."

Agree. He and his government are in the air like a noxious smell.
The Athletic: ‘Victor Wembanyama, Spurs steal Game 3 in must-win game vs. Knicks’.
Article writers don’t write headlines, but they didn’t steal anything. Spurs won a really good basketball game. Led by two kids (22 and 21). Also: Jalen Brunson is SUCH a basketball player. (I know, this is news.)
Someone suggested the other referees for the World Cup should* strike in support of Omar Artan, refused entry to the States.
If the US cannot provide evidence he is ‘a danger’ if admitted, they really should do it. Racism-driven, Trump-shaped conduct, absent evidence.
*Should, but would never.
Or … if I may … the cliche falls on the critic (like a ton of bricks!) not always the film?
Day For Night, for example?
