The crisp night air was a welcome shock to Ana, clearing her head after a night of drinks. Michael asked about the animals she had met since moving to the Bramblewood, an easy subject to talk about. She was particularly fond of Cookie, a rabbit who had been eating the weeds of her fledgling garden.

When he asked if sheโd had a chance to fish, Ana turned away, embarrassed. The barley bale had loosened her tongue enough that she couldnโt lie.
โI donโt know anything about fishing,โ she confessed.
โWhy did you tell me that you did?โ
โI wasnโt sure if I wanted to spend any more time with you.โ

Michael stepped in front of her unexpectedly and Ana nearly stumbled into him.
โAnd now you want to spend more time with me?โ he asked. He was standing too close. She fought the urge to step back.
โNo,โ Ana replied stubbornly, instantly regretting it. โWell. I would like to know how to fish.โ
Ana felt the room tilt a little, her anger deflating. โI think Iโd rather just go home.โ
She felt a little flutter of surprise when Michael offered his hand to her, a feeling that she was quick to squash. Carefully standing up without taking it, Ana agreed to let him walk her home.

They took two home but one had to wait at the gazebo for one of them to came back and a countdown started. I was legit hoping social service would take her but by the time it ended they reached the house with the other two and she just spawned at the living room ๐ญ
