I have been saying this for years. If I could depend on public transportation that shows up even every 15 minutes, I would ditch my car!
We spend billions on flood defenses, then clear the wetlands and forests that prevent floods for free. One acre of wetland can hold 1.5 million gallons of floodwater. Cheaper than concrete walls. 🏞️
About 70% of the U.S. economy runs on consumer spending. But as wealth concentrates at the top, the richest 10% can’t spend enough to sustain it — while everyone else can’t afford to. Reminder that trickle-down economics simply doesn’t make sense. It’s a hoax.
