Lassie Come-Home (1940) by Eric Knight was adapted to film in 1943 & numerous sequels & modern remakes in 1994, 2005 & a German film in 2020. The '43 version remains the most faithful while modern remakes make changes in location & even the long journey. 🐕🐾🏡
