Yes, I think it's important to know that this petition will not actually do anything to stop the Code of Practice. And I think a petition made this late will get such a low number of signatories that it actually symbolically undermines how many people oppose the guidance.

I don’t want to dunk on individuals here, but it’s worth being clear from a procedural perspective:
Petition debates are symbolic and don’t go to a vote, so this would not disapprove the code - unlike a motion tabled by an MP or lead to that motion being given parliamentary time.
