lol at all the members of Slint saying they don’t know what time signature “Nosferatu Man” @lifeoftherecord.bsky.social I’ve talked to so many people who are flummoxed by that song. For my book I asked a friend/drummer to try to break it down for me, which is how I arrived at this description.
I absolutely loved this 2 hour podcast on the making of Slint's 1991 album Spiderland, based on interviews with all four of the members. Maybe one of my all-time favourite albums and am still blown away that it was made by a bunch of teenager.

Great episode, did not realize that Britt and Pajo play all the guitar on "Don, Aman" or that it was basically sprung on the rest of the band in the studio. Still a beautiful sounding record, the closest any 90s rock record came to sounding like A Kind of Blue or something
Excited for this!

Looking forward to this! And damn, if SPIDERLAND is celebrating its 35th anniversary then that means my book about SPIDERLAND is celebrating its 15th anniversary. Yeesh.
