Together with Daniel Münch @dahaniel.muench.bio, we contributed a review about complex neural processing across phyla - and how this allows adaptions to a dynamic environment. Enjoy reading!
We’re recruiting!
Exciting opportunities in our lab supported by a

Ever wonder if a baby knows what time it is? This work by @circatwenty4.bsky.social and collaborators says that the fetus synchronizes its daily rhythms to mom before birth. tinyurl.com/yk3m8fx3 #SRBRa #circadian #chronomedicine
Beyond delighted to share our amazing collaboration with Thierry Alquier's lab @alquierthierry.bsky.social on a conserved role for neuronal lipid droplets in regulating energy homeostasis in vivo led by Celena Cherian, Romane Manceau, Danie Majeur, and Colin Miller www.nature.com/articles/s42... /1
The circadian clock and cellular metabolism are tightly coupled. This primer discusses a recent PLOS study that elucidates how glucose metabolism changes over the course of the day in Drosophila and h...

In vivo regulation of neuronal lipid droplet formation mediates whole-body energy homeostasis in a sex-specific manner in Drosophila and mice.
How do #circadian clocks regulate glucose processing? By integrating human metabolite profiling with isotope-tracing in #Drosophila, this study defines daily rhythms in #glucose utilization that are influenced by circadian timing @plosbiology.org 🧪 plos.io/3Olm1M1

Deeply honoured to have been awarded a Wellcome Trust Discovery Award to study how competition is encoded in the brain.
This builds on the discoveries of outstanding past/present lab members.
Grateful to mentors/collaborators/colleagues for their support.
We are recruiting postdocs/PhD students.
