As reported in February, Denmark has requested to buy AGM-158 JASSM-ER missiles and the possible sale of 200 missiles has been approved. The total cost would be 842 m USD or about 5.46 bn DKK. NB: Approval does not automatically imply a contract will be signed. www.state.gov/releases/bur...

According to the daily Berlingske the Danish Government is about to close the selection of long-range strike capability announced in September 2025. The capability package may likely include JSM (500km) and TLAM (1,600+km) as well as JASSM-ER (900km) & long range drones (800km+)

I fully agree with @frhoffmann.bsky.social here. I have for long argued that deterrence has to contain defensive and offensive capability. When I argued for 🇩🇰 acquisition of TLAM 7-8 years ago, there were many who ironically saw this as “too offensive” warontherocks.com/2025/09/deni...
