#OTD 5 June 1848 at Dybbøl a Danish army corps under General Schleppegrel defeated the German 2nd coalition corps under General von Wrangel after a German attack towards Dybbøl, which was met by a succesful Danish downslope counter attack depicted here in Sonne’s painting.
