Building a digital Disneyland archive and thesaurus (Parkendium, https://mediagraph.io/parkendium). I try to share things you've probably never seen before. Archivist.

And then you see something like this and it feels like it could be worth it… A nighttime ride on the Mark Twain is like a gift from Walt.
Father of All Gods and Goddesses
Today I spent time on a bunch (many thousands) of assets from the 2010s, many scraped five years ago. Everything about them just seemed more fun!
I post more about Disneyland on this platform than anyone (that’s not rhetorical). And we live under two miles from the Park. I’ve only had a pass once in the past eight years (and that was just to make it easier to get the rest of the family signed in!). No FOMO.
Promises made, promises kept!
You can watch the 1996 Hamm's All-Doll Revue from the Toy Story Funhouse in full? What a planet!
…because it has no reason to be there at all.
I loved rainy days at DL when I lived in California. The people there are as afraid of rain as Germans are of air conditioning. You’d literally have an empty park at times. Not like at WDW when it can be monsooning and only some locals might go home.
Having reflected on this 29 years after this interview and in talking with Tony, I feel I was a bit shortchanged in being described as “something of a Disney obsessive.” I am way less than that with the people I now associate!
Despite the store purporting to be a music shop when it has just hawked pins for a very long time, happy 27th birthday to the 20th Century Music Company! 🎉

Tomorrow promises to be a Good Disneyland History Day and I can’t wait for it.
There's no reason for Disneyland to exist except, in Walt's words, "I couldn't think of a good reason except that, I don't know, I wanted it!"

I am very happy that it seems the "average" AP has started to notice. I know some folks were noticing as early as 2018, but I think the era of "peak Disneyland" is over and I think it's finally obvious to the average guest. I don't know how Disney can rescue itself without reinvesting in its cast
a big "tide is turning moment" when this has been the top post on /r/disneyland for a few days and there's not a single upvoted pixie duster lots of comments about poor CS, and the overall "hoops aren't worth the product" I know personally of 40 people that have let their passes lapse post-COVID.

Happy 25th birthday to the 20th Century Music Company—and to the best entryway furniture a Disneyland audio lover could have!
