i bet you could make a really cool black hole diorama with a sphere painted in this within a thick glass sphere (so as to distort the light) with a LED accretion disk

Say what you will about Anish Kapoor appropriating sole use of Vanta black, but my god it is amazing stuff. Photos can't capture it, but his pieces using it at the latest show at the Hayward are mesmerizing. You really are gazing into nothingness, and the mind is deeply confused.
