This is one of my long-time personal bugbears as a player with 20+ years and >6 editions under my belt, too. 5e players haven’t really experienced distinct worlds, and I think it means they’ve missed out on something special because if it. 1/

I admit that I always loved the setting for BECMI what with Darokin, Glantri, all the Known World gazetteers. And Karameikos at the very start of it with the Black Eagle Barony, Bargle, and Mistamere. Threshold, even!
