Perhaps she should have let him think he had a chance. Perhaps she should have shown mercy. As the angel who presided over truth and the underworld, however, she was not as benevolent as her brethren. And there was too much of a gap between their experience levels for him to have much of a chance.

She reached towards her chest, finger hooking under the top massive staple and pulling it out, blood dripping from the now fresh wound. The staple turned into a sword, the blade igniting as it's freed, the heat intense.
Only for her to swing it in his direction, aiming to slice him clean in half.
