I meant to write about this story and I didn't and I'm sorry.
Trans kids have been abandoned by so many people. It's hard to find words for seeing the kids who were our promise for a world where people like us didn't have to have the hard lives most of us had being abandoned life by innocent life.

I think of this Malcolm X quote often: “…I have no mercy or compassion in me for a society that will crush people, and then penalize them for not being able to stand up under the weight.”
