I'm currently looking at the Graham Platner situation as a win-win.
If he beats Susan Collins - that's a huge win for any realistic chance that we reverse the Trumpist slife.
If he loses to Susan Collins - I get to enjoy seeing a guy I think is a complete dirtbag lose.
The margin of error on this data is big enough that the only take away is that — as people who know Maine have repeatedly predicted — attacks from outsiders backfire. It simply wasn’t a successful way to undercut Platner. The more outsiders attacked, the more Mainers have dug in their heels.
Collins leads 44-43 against Platner, turns into a 48-40 lead for Platner after voters are informed of SA scandals.
