Journalism scholars – there is still plenty of time to apply to the next ECREA Journalism Studies section conference, which we look forward to hosting here in Groningen next April. Abstracts deadline is 22 August, and you can find the full call for papers in the post below.
We push for a defense of our colleagues, while also reflecting on the warning signs and mounting pressures our field has missed. We close by reinforcing the strengths of a field that is at its best when documenting and understanding what is unfolding, and building a record of what has come to pass.
