New homes and businesses are replacing a vacant department store in downtown Bremerton. 🙌 The building will not have on-site parking, but there is a parking garage across the street residents can use. Bremerton repealed parking minimums citywide last year. 🥰 www.instagram.com/reel/DZc_MNS...
It's hard to describe how unprecedented this turnout is so I made a chart.
More numbers: More Mainers voted for Platner yesterday than in the Republican primary at all. People worrying about his electability are not from Maine. The national news feels really out of sync with the vibes on the ground.
At the height of her popularity Susan Collins received 160-220k more votes than the next candidate. In 2020 that margin shrank to 70k. Dems turned out ~60k more folks to this primary than 2020. Maine voters are very independent, but it’s safe to say people are very engaged in this race.
Votes still being counted this morning but I’m estimating 222k total votes for this race. That’s 38% higher turnout than 2020. 🤯
