Hell, when found out that expand fill in FireAlpaca, it's like whole new world just open the door for me! And this is why I still recommend FireAlpaca for those are beginning artists who have a personal computer. Meanwhile, GIMP is VERY MUCH NOT beginner friendly. (Or even long time user friendly)
GIMP has a lot of issues that I don't think starting (or even continuing) your art journey with that would be a good idea. I'm going to reiterate: FireAlpaca is a much better start to your art journey. (If you own a PC.)
Thirdly, there is no way to expand area when using the fill bucket. And back when I used it, I never knew that expanding area WAS a thing for fill buckets (Or at the very thing). If I wanna use a brush with anti-aliasing, I had to color it in like I'm using a traditional coloring tool- It was ass-
I like OpenUTAU and I'm glad that was my introduction to UTAU and not the vanilla software, LOL. I have some issues with Krita but compared to GIMP, it's decent, LOL Blender is overwhelming for me but it seems to be a good 3D Modeling Software. I can go on but you get my point.
