MMR vaccine is the best way to prevent measles. We’re grateful that the BRHD is highly vaccinated, but immunocompromised persons and babies under six months have no protection. If you are unsure if you are fully vaccinated or you’re interested in an early vaccination, please reach out to us.

Thursday update shows ongoing increase in measles cases in the Buckingham outbreak. Good news —- it has not spread outside of the Piedmont health District. However, the BRHD shares multiple borders w/buckingham so we remain on alert and recommend early vaccination for babies and toddlers.
