Here is my Jane Yolen story, which I suspect is a pretty common one, or at least a variation thereon.
I grew up on her books. One of my earliest memories is my dad reading Commander Toad books to me at the South Bend public library.
Then I grew up and got a job in comics publishing. (1/)
