People say a lot about of negative stuff about social media. But we're all here to learn from one another and I think that's neat. ❤️
Ideally, we would subsidize the affordable units from general tax revenues instead of putting extra costs onto a small subset of apartment residents in market rate units. But we did that in the 90s and then funding cuts meant a lot of social housing fell into disrepair. Two imperfect options.
We're generally supportive of gentle intensification, but not if it impacts stable residential neighbourhoods.
