Put another way, we have the treatment, and it's the vaccine. As it should be whenever possible.
I remember, I wasn't even a kid, just a young man; these anti-vax fucks were considered fringe lunatics that even the Art Bell nuts would laugh at. It was fluoride in the water Dr. Strangelove shit.
When I first caught the Anthrax/Public Enemy 'Bring the Noise' collab when I was like ten, never did I imagine that the guy wearing the clock would become a living national treasure.
(and make me thrilled on some level my nation's hockey team lost to the US).

I can't think of a single mystery box format that ever outdid a gimmick of the week/gimmick of the to-be-continued. Even the X-Files, which tried to hold a tighter narrative arc, was better in its monster of the week episodes.
Only fully planned arcs like Babylon 5 work.

Just saying guys.
Platner: "Don't drink until you lose volition, or you bear some responsibility for what happens"
Platner: "I'm not a Nazi because I got the Totenkopf-SS tattoo while I was drunk and had lost volition, so I bear no responsibility for what happened."
Doublethink is always the topline of rationality.
