A South London woman was sentenced to 12 years in prison on Friday after she was found guilty of killing her 5-year-old stepdaughter by scalding her in a hot bath in 1978.
Janice Nix was found guilty of manslaughter after her stepson told the police that she had forced his sister into a hot bath as a form of punishment in their home in South London.
