A 21-year-old former student has been arrested and charged with arson and a hate crime in connection with a large burning cross that was found last week in Chicago's Grant Park, the police said.
A former university student, Merlin Lu, 21, has claimed that he set the cross on fire in Grant Park to protest the Trump administration, not as an act of racism.
