Thousands of Los Angeles residents were told to stay indoors on Wednesday afternoon as firefighters battled a fire that ripped through a cold-storage warehouse.
Heavy black smoke was visible across much of Los Angeles as flames tore through a nearly 500,000-square-foot building just east of downtown.
