if you want to know, and want to say, that Dems said they wanted the party to move right not left, you have to poll that question, not one where the posited move is “move center”. That’s a different question than you’re pretending, one that doesn’t make sense!

Once again I’m baffled by how people in your industry use words in a vastly different way to how ordinary people use them. “Move left” and “move right” are clear. “Move center” is polling-ese and PoliSci jargon that is incomprehensible to normal people
