41 cities applied to host World Cup games. 32 advanced to the next selection round, 23 made a short list, 16 cities across three countries were selected. And, no surprise to anyone who knows our city, Seattle was ranked the Number 1 stadium experience by The Athletic’s reporters covering the games.
